ContextualSearch is a search framework for your web-based applications. It helps you to create and introduce a search
functionality for your site/blog. Unlike other "custom search" solutions,
this framework "understands" the semantics of your content/data and applies its intelligence accordingly.
e.g. if your site is a product selling site,
this framework will help you perform "related product" search, when a user is looking for products on your
site.
ContextualSearch has built in libraries to deal with user queries, libraries to understand natural lanugage
searches on your site and libraries to handle synonyms and spelling mistakes. The framework is plug-n-play.
Host this within your web application, enter the admin panel for this
framework and "define" your site once .. add optional "preferences" and bingo!
a ready-made search functionality is now available on your site.
ContextualSearch is currently a JAVA only framework and is a work-in-progress.
Very soon, a stable version
of this product would be made public. people who are willing to
contribute or wish to exchange ideas can connect me via
I am also looking for contributors who can help me port this framework in PHP.
What Contextual_search_is_not?
ContextualSearch is NOT a search-engine framework. It does NOT contain a web crawler.
It helps you make your own content searchable.
